Ceiling and Wall Speaker Cleaning

Speaker cleaning removes dust and grease from ceiling speaker grilles and wall-mounted speaker cabinets. Speaker grilles darken just like vents and are just as visible. AELC providers dry-vacuum grilles and damp-wipe cabinets, keeping moisture away from drivers.

What's included

  • Ceiling speaker grilles
  • Wall and bracket-mounted speaker cabinets
  • Mounting brackets

Not included

  • Removing speakers, AV repair or adjustment

Why it matters

Ceiling speaker grilles show the same dark film as diffusers.

Wall speakers in bars and gyms carry heavy grease and dust.

How AELC providers clean ceiling and wall speakers

Every AELC Network Provider follows the AELC Source-Control Method: do not move the contamination; capture it or contain it. For ceiling and wall speakers, that means:

  1. Identify. Count speakers and note types.
  2. Capture. Vacuum grilles with a soft HEPA brush, no liquid on grille fabric.
  3. Contain. Wipe cabinets with barely damp microfiber.
  4. Verify. Photograph.

How often should ceiling and wall speakers be cleaned?

SettingRecommended frequency
Restaurants, bars and gymsEvery 3 to 6 months
Retail and officesEvery 6 to 12 months

Grease, lint, humidity and how visible the area is can shorten these intervals. See how often high dusting should be done.

How much does ceiling and wall speaker cleaning cost?

Typical range: $5–$15 per speaker (per speaker). Large line-array or theater speakers are quoted separately.

Prices are set by each independent provider. Ranges reflect published market data and AELC time standards. See the full above-eye-level cleaning cost guide.

DIY vs. hiring a pro
